Dominican Republic passport photo size & rules
The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two thirds of the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean, sharing the island with Haiti. Dominican passports are issued by the Direccion General de Pasaportes, and applications must include a photo in a set format. The required size is 35mm wide by 45mm tall, equivalent to about 413 by 531 pixels in a digital image saved at 300 DPI.
For a Dominican Republic passport photo the background must be plain white or light grey and completely free of shadows, patterns or objects. Position your face in the centre of the frame, look directly at the camera and keep a neutral expression with your eyes open and mouth closed. Use even lighting so that your skin tone is natural, and avoid hats, sunglasses or anything covering the face except items worn daily for genuine religious reasons.
Using our tool you can crop and size your Dominican passport photo to the exact 35x45mm (413x531px) format directly in your browser. The image is never uploaded to any server, keeping the whole process private, and the tool is free to use. Requirements can be updated over time, so always check the current rules with the Direccion General de Pasaportes or a Dominican consulate before submitting your application.
