Mexico passport photo size & rules
Mexico uses the 35x45mm format for passports and many visa and consular procedures, equal to 413x531 pixels at 300 dpi. The Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) requires a recent, front-facing colour photo with the face clearly visible and centred, taking up a substantial part of the frame, with the head roughly 32-36mm from chin to crown following common biometric proportions.
The background must be plain white and uniform, with even lighting and no shadow behind the head. Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and mouth closed, both eyes open and clearly visible, ears preferably shown, and no hair covering the face. Mexico generally asks that glasses be removed to avoid glare, and hats or head coverings are not permitted except for religious reasons with the full face visible. The photo must reflect your current appearance, and for some consular procedures a specific size or an additional photo may be requested, so it is worth checking the exact requirement for your document.
Pixohub prepares your Mexican passport or visa photo at 413x531 pixels on a white background directly in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and your image stays private on your own device, and the service is free. Requirements from the SRE and individual Mexican consulates are updated over time and can vary by procedure. Always confirm the current official specifications on gob.mx or with the specific consulate before printing or submitting your photo.
