Peru passport photo size & rules
Peru lies on the Pacific coast of western South America, home to Andean highlands, coastal desert, and a large share of the Amazon rainforest. Peruvian passports are issued by the Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones, and every application depends on a standardized biometric photo. The accepted format is 35 millimetres wide by 45 millimetres tall, equivalent to about 413 by 531 pixels at 300 DPI, which gives the sharpness needed for printing and biometric capture.
The photo must be a recent, front-facing shot of the applicant against a plain white or light grey background. Lighting should be balanced so there are no shadows on the face or behind the head, and the expression should be neutral with the mouth closed and both eyes clearly open. The face needs to be centred and occupy a consistent proportion of the frame so that Migraciones and border officials can read the biometric data reliably.
